The 'Lo-End Theory is a celebration of the importance that Polo Ralph Lauren clothing holds within Hip-Hop. In this continuity no years rings louder than 1992 (our ticket price). This was Polo Ralph Lauren's 25th anniversary. Most Hip-Hop Polo heads would agree there was no greater year in the designs of this brand.

Performing as under the name Ruck with partner Rock, Price dropped the acclaimed album Nocturnal in 1996 and the well-regarded follow-up Magnum Force in 1998. He made his solo debut in 2005 with Monkey Barz. His second solo effort, Jesus Price Supastar (2007), was a major success and generated some major label interest for the underground sensation. His work with Boot Camp Clik has continued throughout his solo career - he recently released a new Heltah Skeltah album, titled D.I.R.T. (Da Incredible Rap Team) alongside Rock in 2008. Roc Marciano is an MC from New York City's tradition-rich Long Island. His work, first with the U.N. Crew and later as a solo artist, is quintessential New York underground. His moody, claustrophobic production and stream-of-consciousness, heavily stylized lyrics made him one of his era's most underappreciated auteurs.

Part of the celebrated '90s underground rap group Black Moon (with producer Evil Dee and fellow MC 5Ft), Buckshot released his first solo album, The BDI Thug, in 1999 with Duckdown (which later reissued a longer version in 2003). In 2005, with help from producer 9th Wonder (Little Brother, Murs, Jay-Z), he issued Chemistry, an album that presented a more mature and less violent Buckshot, and gave him back some of the recognition he once had had with Black Moon. It worked well enough that the two decided to pair up again in 2008, releasing The Formula in April of that year.
